United People In Christ, Inc. is a dedicated group of volunteers working to assist Christian brothers and sisters in need in the Middle East. We are directed in our task by the command from Christ to, "Love thy Neighbor as Thyself."
Dear Friends,
For many years I wanted to start an organization in order to extend a helping hand to the forgotten Christians in the Middle East. I felt it should be done without the control of a particular church or demonination; because when it comes down to it, there is but one Christ, one faith and one baptism. With these thoughts, United People In Christ came to be.
The material things we are blessed with come from the Lord; therefore, we can only give what is really His. "For all things come from You, And of Your own we have given You." I Chr 29. All things come from our Loving Father. If we, by His example, strive to be great in love, then we must learn to be great in giving because these two things go together. While we can give without loving, we cannot truly know what it is to love when we do not give.
Giving pulls us closer to God. It helps break the ugly grip of materialism. It can strengthen our faith, bring happiness and bless us. St. Paul tells us in Acts 20, "that so laboring ye ought to help the weak, and to remember the words of the Lord Jesus, that He Himself said, It is more blessed to give than to receive."
With this in mind, we ask you to think about your brothers and sisters in the Middle East who are far less fortunate than you. Please pray for them, and then demonstrate your caring by extending a helping hand. Share some of the bounty the Lord has blessed you with. Remember.. what you do unto them, you do unto Christ, Himself, "And the King shall answer and say unto them, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye did it unto one of these my brethren, even these least, ye did it unto me." Matt 25:40
The immediate goals of United People in Christ include collecting money and medicine to improve the well being of Christians in the Middle East. Longer term goals include building shelters for the persecuted and displaced, the physically impaired and the elderly and orphans; as well as establishing scholarships for needy students and repairing or refurbishing old, run-down churches.
We ask for a donation from each and every brother and sister in Christ in this country whose heart is touched by the needs of these forgotten Christians. Your commitment to send whatever you can -- weekly, monthly, or on any other regular basis will be appreciated more than you can ever know. Even if you can only send a one time gift, it will help a family who has next to nothing.
Please tell your friends and relatives about our mission, and ask them to help, too. We can't do it alone, and we're asking you to show your compassion for your brothers and sisters who need you.. in word, thought and deed.
May the Grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you always!
Sincerely,
Amid Habib, M.D., F.A.A.P, F.A.C.E.

And though I have the gift of
prophecy, and understand all
mysteries and all knowledge,
and though I have all faith, so
that I could remove mountains,
but have not love, I am nothing.
